The following are examples of the hierarchical multimedia summarization and graphing scheme described in my Ph.D. thesis, Content-Based Temporal Processing of Video (Nov. 2002). They all require an SVG (scalable vector graphics) plug-in for your web browser; the most common is Adobe's SVG Viewer.
» example streams
- ABC Nightly News (abcdis)
- Episode of NBC's "Friends" (bigfriends)
- CBS-2 Local News (cbs3news)
- PBS Charlie Rose (crose)
- NBC's "Frasier" (frasier)
- CBS's "The Late Show with David Letterman" (letterm)
- NBC Evening News (nbcnews5)
» non-php examples
If you're looking at these pages from a CD-ROM or a web server that doesn't support the PHP scripting language, you may still view the raw linked SVG files. The interface won't be as clean, and hierarchical links may not zoom in correctly (i.e., use the above links if you possibly can).
